I found a cocoon in my yard, so I put it in a jar. When I take it out it wiggles! I have no idea what it is, when it hatches, if it's something hideous I'll just throw it out the window, but if it's something neat I'll keep it lol!
I feel no need to jam diversity into my stories
Apparently to have a good story you have to have the most diverse characters and not care if they get in the way of telling a story. The thing is, I don't care about diversity, its meaningless! If you where seriously injured would you want to hospital staff to be as diverse as possible at the expense of actual skill? (something that happens a lot) In my stories the main character has always been a supernatural male dragon. I built my whole fictional cosmology around him and how there's only one like him. I see no reason at all to shoehorn in a ultra powerful female character or transgender. Especially since I borrowed a concept from Larry Niven and have the female dragons being non sentient and the female ursa minans don't have any super natural powers. My stories will explore masculinity and male bonding instead of what other authors have been doing...
My opinion on AI art
I honestly like it! Its cool! I also think people should get to sell AI generated images. With inflation still going and the government lying about it, people need a way to make a little extra money. Also I have a kinda bad history with trying to become an artist until I gave up. I used to enter art classes, but I never really got any good. After years of practice it still was a monumental effort for me to make something that was a step above a stick figure drawing. I just don't have the talent for drawing. But I do have a talent for writing, what if I can provide a description of something and then that can be generated by computer? That is awesome! I haven't posted them here, but I've been able to make really cool backgrounds for my visual novel with ai. I also used reverse image search to see if they where "stolen" and nothing came up like what I got with ai. So I'm going to keep using ai and maybe make money with it too.
Why the panic ahead of the eclipse? Update
I've seen articles about states declaring emergencies ahead of the eclipse, and advising people to stock up on necessities. Why? As far as I know nothing happened during the previous two eclipses in the U.S. So why the panic about this upcoming one? Could it have anything to do with this? Does it mark the beginning of a new age? Humanity was warned about signs in the sky, but nobody takes notice. Will something happen next month on the 8th? Update: I just saw that they are closing dozens of schools in the path of the eclipse. Does anyone else think this is all really silly unless the government knows something the public doesn't? When I was a young child the school didn't close, they had a big eclipse science lesson in the parking lot.
